There are many ways to become a certified teacher in Florida. We have included web pages that will provide specific information for you depending on your education and experience. How would you describe your education and experience?

  • I have at least a bachelor’s degree from a Florida state approved teacher preparation program, including educator preparation institutes (TIP at Florida Gulf Coast University).

  • I have at least a bachelor’s degree with a Florida state approved minor in education.

  • I have at least a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

  • I have at least a bachelor’s degree and hold a valid standard teaching certificate or license from another state.
