EduCamp 2022
EduCamp 2022 will be a camp for high school students interested in careers in education. This camp will be in-person on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus with some overnight says in our on-campus residence halls. The camp will be held July 19th - 22nd of 2022, and interested students should submit an application form through the link below. The application will be open January 4th, 2022 through March 15th, 2022. Space is limited and interested students should apply early.
EduCamp is the place to learn what inspires you. Students who participate will experience an in-person camp in beautiful Fort Myers, FL on the FGCU campus. Students will learn teaching methods and explore new and exciting tools being used in education today.
Students will get an opportunity to learn about the education profession while living the FGCU lifestyle exploring the amenities of campus.
EduCamp is a multi-day experience into the teaching profession. The camp is designed to help students understand the teaching profession and will assist students with lesson plan development and the opportunity to bring their plans to life.
Experience the FGCU Effect in beautiful Southwest Florida. Florida Gulf Coast University’s College of Education will offer an overnight camp for students interested in the teaching profession. The camp will balance time with both content learning and fun exploring campus. Students will get to eat in the SOVI dining hall, take EDUCamp classes in our academic buildings, and play on the North Lake Waterfront!
If you have a passion to help others learn, EduCamp is for you! Explore the rewarding profession as an educator, and get a chance to inspire students by putting into practice what you have learned during the camp. You will have the opportunity to meet other students interested in careers in education and teach them a lesson that you prepared. See your ideas and creativity come to life while you practice what you teach!
Interested students can apply between January 4, 2022 - February 25, 2022 to participate in EduCamp.
EDUCamp 2022 will offer students the full college experience with meals, snacks and overnight stays. FGCU’s College of Education faculty will facilitate the camp lessons and teach students who participate. College of Education students will mentor and be a resource for camp participants while they are here at FGCU. This camp is a free opportunity for students who are interested in pursuing careers in education.
