Interdisciplinary Minor

Environmental Studies, Mathematics (BA), and Integrated Studies majors are not eligible for the minor in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Admission Requirements

  • Students must meet with a college advisor to declare a minor and review the course requirements.
  • A grade of C or higher is required for all courses in the minor.
  • A minimum of 12 credit hours of the minor must be completed at FGCU.
  • Students desiring certification of a minor and designation on their academic transcript must verify that the minor is displayed on their Graduation Application.

Complete three of the following (9 credits)

  • IDS 3302 Issues in Politics and Economics (3)
  • IDS 3304 Issues in Ecology and the Environment (3)
  • IDS 3305 Issues in Media, Literature, and the Arts (3)
  • IDS 3332 Issues in Culture & Society (3)
  • IDS 4901 Directed Individual Study (3)
  • IDS 4930 ST: Integrated Studies (3)

* a maximum of six credits of coursework from a student's major requirements can be applied toward the minor.
