What?
Toggle More InfoFGCU students train, present information, and co-lead with “Wings of Hope” staff, 4th and 5th grade students through CREW Land and Trust hiking trails. Students explore pine flat woods, marsh vistas, oak hammocks and pop ash communities.
All activities and materials are aligned to state standards and offer enrichment opportunities through STEAM.
When?

Where?
Toggle More InfoCREW (Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed), is a 60,000 acre watershed, spanning both Lee and Collier counties, providing an excellent learning and safe place for students to continue their awareness of the natural world.
Why?
Toggle More InfoObserving, valuing, and connecting with nature encourages tomorrow’s leaders and future generations to protect and save the natural world. To continue this experience after the “CREW Hiking Adventure” program, elementary students participate in “Nature Rocks.” Through the guidance of their school’s art teacher, students paint a rock with a Florida plant or animal they observed while hiking at CREW. The painted rocks are returned to CREW and placed in a special area. Students are encouraged to venture back to CREW with their families to see their special rock and educate their families about the natural world.
