Connect LTIA Update

June 17, 2024  / Digital Learning

Exciting news! FGCU will be moving to our latest integration (LTIA) of the McGraw Hill Integration with Canvas starting this Summer 2024 semester. The Connect LTIA tool is currently installed and available for use. Instructors teaching in the Summer or Fall should set up their courses with the new integration within Canvas. Please review the intructions that we have posted on out Digtial Learning Blog linked here.

When you are ready to set up for Summer or Fall 2024, we are asking our Connect users to complete the following steps to prepare:

  1. Duplicate your Connect section or Add a new course.
  2. Update Registration Dates in Connect (optional)
  3. Update due dates for new term in Connect (new experience view)
  4. Organizing your Canvas shell:

If you are using a blank Canvas shell, you can simply pair with Connect and deploy your assignments to Canvas.

If you are using a copied Canvas shell from a previous semester with prior Connect assignments, all Connect content and grade items will need to be deleted from the shell prior to pairing.

  1. It is extremely important that you have deleted all Connect content and grade items our of your Canvas shell before pairing via LTI Integration for the first time. You will want to delete the old links from your "Assignments" area, which will also remove them from your Modules.
  2. You can then pair your Canvas course with Connect and deploy your assignment links through the modules.
