Recruitment Events

Career Development Services offers a range of career fairs to fit every student's need. Our in-person, on-campus events give you the opportunity to meet and network with well known companies throughout the Southwest Florida region and beyond. All of the events in the section will also satisfy the Career Event requirement for the Soar in 4 program.

U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering Career & Internship Expo February 22 9:30 am - 11:30 am Cohen Student Union Ballroom This event is coordinated by the U.A Whitaker College of Engineering. The event is held for employers seeking engineering or construction management students. For more information or questions contact Julie Rose. Employers can register for the event through the College of Engineering website.
All Majors Career & Internship Fair February 23 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Cohen Student Union Ballroom The All Majors Career & Internship Fair will be our largest spring university-wide career recruiting event for students in all majors to meet over 80 employers interested in hiring FGCU students and alumni to fill full-time, co-op, and internship opportunities in companies from all areas of interest.  Free professional headshots are available.
Health & Human Services Career & Internship Fair March 16 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Cohen Student Union Ballroom The new Health and Human Services Career & Internship Fair offers students an opportunity to meet employers from area hospitals, social services agencies and other organizations who are seeking to hire FGCU students into heath related professions for full-time career and internship opportunities. Free professional headshots are available.
Communication Careers & Internship Fair March 23 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Cohen Student Union Ballroom This recruiting event offers students the opportunity to learn about the employers and careers that are available to FGCU students and alumni who are interested in working in public relations, marketing, journalism, and other related communication industries. All majors are welcome to attend. Free professional headshots are available.
Spring Teacher Recruitment Fair March 29 9:00 am - 11:00 am Cohen Student Union Ballroom This event brings to the university public and private schools seeking to hire FGCU students or alumni into teaching positions. Education, English, Math, History, Arts, and Music majors are encouraged and all majors are welcome. Free professional headshots and on-campus interviews are available.

JCPenney Suit-Up Event March 26 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm JCPenney Edison Mall Suit-Up is a collaborative event with FGCU and JCPenney to provide students, faculty and staff a special shopping event, in store or online, for select career wear with exclusive discounts not available to the public.
Arthrex Day February 16 10:00 am - 2:00 PM Cohen Student Union Ballroom An educational event designed to introduce students to the variety of roles available to them in a large global company while also educating them specifically about the medical device industry. This event satisfies the Career Event portion of the Soar in 4 program.
Etiquette Dinner April 4 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Hilton Garden Inn Fort Myers Airport Sponsored by Enterprise Holdings, this event leads students through the proper etiquette to use when engaging in a formal business or interview dinner. In addition, students will also have an opportunity to practice their networking skills all while enjoying a free meal. Students must register by emailing careercenter@fgcu.edu in advance. Professional dress is required.
