Alumni Advocacy Committee
Alumni have a unique voice to tell lawmakers how Florida Gulf Coast University has impacted their education, career, and life. Alumni have helped send thousands of messages to lawmakers at the Florida State Capitol. Your voice can make a difference for FGCU.
The Alumni Advocacy Commitee serves FGCU and alumni through:
- Alumni Engagement: Foster a strong network among alumni to encourage involvement in advocacy efforts, such as sharing personal success stories that highlight the importance of their education.
- Community Outreach: Engage with local communities to promote the benefits of public higher education, hosting events or workshops to raise awareness.
- Attend Events: Organize and attend meetings and events with local, state, and federal legislators to discuss priorities and advocate for policies that benefit public higher education.
