Marine Science Summer Camp

Hands-on Marine Science Exploration

Led by our staff of FGCU students, incoming 6th-8th graders will conduct water quality testing, restore mangroves, identify beach erosion, and join the next generation of scientists. Campers will spend five days in the classroom, laboratory, and field learning about one of the most diverse and productive ecosystems in the world.

Summer Camp Registration Now Open:

  • Hands-on Activities: Campers will spend five days in the classroom, laboratory, and field learning about one of the most diverse and productive ecosystems in the world. 

  • Outdoor Excursions: Campers will have the opportunity to catch and identify fish and other marine life, profile a beach for evidence of erosion, track currents and conduct water quality testing in various parts of Estero Bay.

  • Environmental Education: Biology, chemistry, geology, and ecology are just a few facets of marine science that we will explore with the goal of inspiring a passion for the environment and its conservation.
