Lifestyle Medicine Virtual Series

The United States is facing an urgent lifestyle-related health crisis resulting in the rising prevalence of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and certain cancers. The CDC reports 6 in 10 people in the United States have a chronic disease and 4 in 10 have two or more diseases. Eighty percent (80%) of chronic diseases can be prevented through lifestyle changes. To transform from “sick care” to “healthcare”, this series of webinars will provide resource to decrease chronic diseases, health inequity, and increase provider self-care and well-being. You are invited to participate in an innovative series hosted by FGCU School of Nursing DNP Program on providing high-value care through lifestyle medicine. Registration no fees, up to 5 CEU are available.
