How did your mentor(s) encourage and foster your research and academic trajectory?
My mentor, Dr. Lyndsay Rhodes believed in me when I did not believe in myself. She pushes me every day to strengthen my leadership, research, and academic abilities. Through her and the opportunities I have been provided, I found my passion for pursuing a career as a physician in surgical oncology. It has been an honor to work under her and learn so much about myself. I have her to thank for the person I am today.
What does the OCF mean to you?
The OCF means growing and learning more about yourself and applying that to your applications.
What is the Fulbright ETA?
"The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programs place Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETAs help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S."
