Build Empowering Relationships
Fuel your fire by building connections with student leaders and professional staff who will support you on your path to success.
Hayley is a junior at FGCU majoring in Special Education with the goal of becoming a special education teacher or a student counselor. She is from Pembroke Pines, Florida and joined FGCU as part of the Step Ahead Program (now Eagle Advantage) during her first year. Hayley is very involved at FGCU serving as the Vice President of the FGCU chapter of Best Buddies. She also worked as a student leader and mentor for the Eagle Advance Program from Spring 2021–Fall 2021 where she helped first time in college students adjust to college life, learn campus resources, and set goals. Hayley currently serves as the Student Coordinator for Eagle Advantage Program and is always happy to answer questions and help students with whatever they might need. Outside of school, Hayley enjoys baking, reading, and watching her favorite movie, Pride and Prejudice!
"My Experience working with the eagle advantage students has been amazing! These students come in as timid students; then, within six weeks, they have completely transformed into confident students who know their way. The benefits of this program are endless. You gain so much insight and build connections with professors, and you build resources with professional staff as well. I can’t wait to meet all of the new Eagle Advantage students and grow with them in their new journey!"
