• The Miami-Ft. Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, FL CPI increased by 7.4 percent from October 2022 to October 2023, while the US South Region had a 3.7 percent increase over the same period. CPI for the nation increased by 3.2 percent in October 2023 compared to October 2022.
• Apparel outpaced the rest of the components in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale-West Palm Beach region, increasing by 13.5 percent from October 2022 to October 2023. The region also had significant increases in prices for housing (10.7 percent increase in October 2023 over October 2022) and other goods and services (6.3 percent increase over the same period).
