2021 FGCU Eagle Eye Sporting Clays Tournament
September 24, 2021 | Sarasota Trap, Skeet & Clays, Nokomis, FL
FGCU's Eagle Eye Sporting Clays Tournament will help raise funds for the new construction management program within the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering. FGCU’s U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering unveiled the new Bachelor of Science program in Construction Management this year, led by director Dr. Craig Capano, an accomplished educator and professional expert in the field. FGCU created the program in response to an increasing demand for high-salaried construction managers, especially in Southwest Florida, which consistently ranks as one of the hottest building markets in the nation. To roll out the program, FGCU has created program-specific facilities that include indoor and outdoor laboratories: the VIPER Lab, a virtual-construction laboratory that utilizes computers, cameras, motion detectors and speakers to simulate building projects; and the Construction Methods Laboratory, a 6,000-square-foot, covered worksite outside Holmes Hall, the engineering school’s flagship education building.
