Student Success and Wellness Coaching is a free resource to help students achieve a well-adjusted and healthy lifestyle. 

Wellness coaches take a positive approach to personal development, focusing on your strengths and using the 8 dimensions of wellness model, as a framework for generating goals that are meaningful to you.

A Student Success and Wellness Coach can assist in one or more of the following areas as well as help connect you to additional resources on campus:

  • Academic concerns
  • Relationships
  • Stress
  • Physical health
  • Nutrition
  • Sexual Health
  • Alcohol

Wellness coaching staff include professional staff and graduate and upper level undergraduate students who are trained to be wellness coaches.

How is Wellness Coaching Different from Counseling?


Counseling is a service by Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) which provides treatment for mental health concerns.


CAPS staff are licensed mental health professionals.



CAPS staff work with you to resolve and manage concerns related to your mental health.



Wellness coaching is a service that supports FGCU students by identifying goals and strengths to live a holistic lifestyle.


Wellness coaching staff include professional staff, graduate students, and upper level undergraduate students who have participated in wellness coaching training.


Wellness coaches believe you are the expert and help you identify areas that require more development in order to achieve holistic wellness.
