FGCU Alert

FGCU remains closed to all activities, classes and business operations Friday, September 27. All normally scheduled academic activities, including classes, labs and online courses, will continue as scheduled Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29. Other campus functions will ramp up steadily this weekend, and FGCU will return to all normally scheduled business operations, events and activities Monday, September 30.

General Rental Policies and Procedures

- Reservations can be made at the Waterfront Building in person, by phone at 239-590-1871, or by email to fgcuoutdoors@gmail.com by 5pm the day before pickup to ensure availability of staff and equipment
- Renters must present proper University Identification (Eagle ID) to rent any equipment.
- The Rental Fee must be paid using credit/debit card at the Waterfront Building during business hours. Fees must be paid in full by the time of pick up.
- Cancellations must be made during business hours.
- Rental checkout and returns are only available Monday-Friday between 12-4:30pm.
- Late Return Charges
  - Items will be charged at a 1.5 times the daily rental rate for each day late.
  - Late days only accrue during RecVentures operation hours.
- Absolutely NO SMOKING or FLAMES in or around equipment made of fabric (Tents, Sleeping Bags and Backpacks)
  - Renter will be assessed a cleaning fee for not adhering to this policy.
- A $25.00 cleaning fee will be assessed to equipment returned that is excessively wet or dirty. Should you fail to pay for damages or lost equipment, University Recreation & Wellness may pursue sanctions such as placing a hold on your Eagle ID. Replacement costs of equipment are listed below.
  - Renter must dry out tents, sleeping bags, and backpacks that get wet.
  - Renter must clean all pots and pans in the mess kit.
