General Rental Policies and Procedures

- Reservations can be made at the Waterfront Building in person, by phone, or by email to fgcuoutdoors@gmail.com by 5pm the day before pickup to ensure availability of staff and equipment
- Renters must present proper University Identification (Eagle ID) to rent any equipment.
- The Rental Fee must be paid using Eagle Dollars or Cash at the Waterfront Building during business hours. Fees must be paid in full by the time of pick up.
- Cancellations must be made during business hours.
- Late Return Charges
  - Items will be charged at a 1.5 times the daily rental rate for each day late.
  - Late days only accrue during RecVentures operation hours.
- Absolutely NO SMOKING or FLAMES in or around equipment made of fabric (Tents, Sleeping Bags and Backpacks)
  - Renter will be assessed a cleaning fee for not adhering to this policy.
- A $5.00 cleaning fee will be assessed to equipment returned that is dirty or wet. Should you fail to pay for damages or lost equipment, University Recreation may pursue sanctions such as placing a hold on your Eagle ID. Replacement costs of equipment are listed below.
  - Renter must dry out tents, sleeping bags, and backpacks that get wet.
  - Renter must clean all pots and pans in the mess kit.

- In order to check out boats, advance notice must be given to RecVentures by 5:00 PM the day prior to the intended rental day (i.e. by Thursday at 5 pm for a Friday rental) either by phone or email. This gives our staff time to prepare the equipment for checkout. Simply showing up the day of the rental will not guarantee your ability to rent the equipment.
- Renter must have adequate means of transporting the boat.
  - University Recreation staff reserve the right to refuse a request based on inadequate transportation, availability, prior experience, skill level of renter, and weather conditions.
- Boat rental includes paddle(s), PFD(s), and straps for two people per boat.
- Renter is responsible for all aspects of the boat(s) rented including cleanliness, travel of, any damage, etc.
