Charles Xiaoxue Wang Profile

Charles Xiaoxue Wang is a Professor of Educational Technology at the College of Education and a Lucas Faculty Fellow at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Before he came to FGCU in 2010, he was an assistant professor of Instructional Technology at Georgia State University (GSU) and an associate professor of English at the Intensive Language Training Center of Sichuan University in China. He has taught various undergraduate and graduate courses of educational technology at both GSU and FGCU. His research interests include instructional design, synchronous communication technology, and virtual reality applied for online learning, instruction, collaboration and academic advising. Dr. Wang is a board representative for the International Division and serving on the Board of Directors at the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (2017 - 2022) He is also an educational advisor for the Friends of Foster Children Forever, a non-profit organization that serves nearly 1,000 foster children yearly in the Southwest Florida.
