Trang Burney has the pleasure of servicing as the Administrative Assistant for Dean of Students/ Campus Life. Her life journey began when she emigrated from Saigon, Vietnam to the United States at the age of 3. She is the youngest of 5 siblings and the youngest among 13 grandchildren. Trang’s educational path led her to Virginia Commonwealth University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Her love for the sunshine and the beach led her to move to Florida in 2010. In 2011, she met her spouse in Bonita Springs and in 2015, they married in Captiva. Trang joined FGCU in 2021. She has a passion for travel. Her adventures so far include parasailing in Nha Trang, climbing the Pitons, ascending the Dunn’s River Falls, scuba diving in the Belize Barrier Reef, witnessing the dazzling lights of the Eiffel Tower, and scaling the Glacier 3000.
