Komives, Mark (PGA)
Mark Komives is a PGA Professional originally from Medina, Ohio. He has served at FGCU since 2018 in the PGA Golf Management department. He currently works as the program’s Player Development Manager and as an adjunct instructor for PGA Teaching & Coaching coursework. Mark holds an MBA in Management/Leadership from FGCU’s Lutgert College of Business and a BBA in PGA Golf Management from Campbell University.
In addition to teaching at FGCU, Mark also serves as a swing and short-game instructor to a clientele of amateur and professional players, acts as an R&D consultant for golf technology firms, and additionally presents as an educational lecturer on the topics of golf instruction and teaching technologies. Mark was recognized as the 2023 South Florida PGA Southwest Chapter Player Development award winner. Prior to FGCU, Mark was employed in teaching and junior golf coaching positions throughout the country, including the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy in Orlando, FL, Golf Academy at the Boyne Resorts in Harbor Springs, MI, Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, FL, and Winchester Country Club in Boston, MA.
