Kimberly received her Bachelor's degree from Winthrop University and her Master's degree from the University of Florida. Her research project was looking at the cellular anatomy of the thymus gland of the Florida manatee. She has been a laboratory manager in research labs at several universities around the Southeast. She has been at this university since 2016.
