Salmond, Jacqueline (Ph.D.)
Jacqueline's research focuses on sustainable development with an emphasis on community improvements through engagement with tourism. She is interested in tourism FOR development, with an emphasis on both social and environmental sustainability. Past projects have incorporated participatory action research (PAR) as a tool to enhance community empowerment. She incorporates a global perspective throughout her teaching and encourages student engagement with international learning and study abroad. She is a member of the Association of American Geographers (AAG).

Jacqueline loves to travel especially if it involves scuba diving or snorkeling. When not travelling she spends time with her two dogs.
