Toggle SpecialtiesJon Braddy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Philosophy at Florida Gulf Coast University in the United States. Dr. Braddy's main areas of scholarship encompasses psycho-analytic theory and queer theory. He is a fan of French philosophy, particularly Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Lacan. Beyond his scholarly publications, Jon has written and produced documentaries highlighting time-stamps of individual's struggles as they confront change in their current milieu; his reel includes Liberation: One Generation After Apartheid. and Puerto Ricans Ascending; coming in Spring 2020 is his latest documentary titled, Voices Boricuas. Blending his love of cinima with queer theory, he co-authored "Queerness Underground: the Abject, the Normal, and Pleasure in Cruising and Interior.Leather Bar" with Billy Jean Huff (Brill, 2019) and The Ethics of Seduction in Phaedrus (Brill, 2020), -
