Dr. Heather Duerre Humann is the author of four books: Domestic Abuse in the Novels of African American Women: A Critical Study (McFarland, 2014), Gender Bending Detective Fiction: A Critical Analysis of Selected Works (McFarland, 2017), Another Me: The Doppelgänger in 21st Century Fiction, Television and Film (McFarland, 2018), and Reality Simulation in Science Fiction Literature, Film, and Television (McFarland, 2019). She is currently on the Editorial Board of two peer-reviewed journals, Margaret Atwood Studies and Studies in American Culture.
