Gabriel Taggart Profile

Gabriel graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in the fall of 2020 with an undergraduate degree in Pre-Professional Biology and a minor in Chemistry. While studying at FGCU, he graduated Magna-Cum Laude and conducted research with Dr. Marilyn-Cruz Alvarez on the flowering genes of the invasive tree species Melaleuca quinquenervia. He joined the Department of Biological Sciences in 2021. Currently, Gabriel is applying to U.S. Allopathic Medical Schools and hopes to begin classes in the fall of 2023. Outside of work, Gabriel enjoys practicing guitar or gaming on his PC.
