Boysel, Eleanor (B.S.)
Eleanor Boysel (Formerly Ayres) graduated from the University of South Florida in
2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and Policy. While at USF
she also obtained a minor in Music Performance (Trumpet), was a member of the Honors
College, Interned for the Office of Sustainability as a Sustainability Scholar, and
wrote an Honors Thesis on Sustainability on the University Campus. Also during her
time at USF she worked part-time for Advanced Environmental Laboratories as an Analyst
doing microbiology water quality analyses.
In 2012 Eleanor moved back to Southwest Florida, where she was born and raised, and
began working with Collier County Government's Pollution Control section as a Field
Sampler. In 2014 she was promoted into their Water Quality lab as a Chemist. Starting
in the Micro department, she eventually became one of the primary analysts on Nutrients
and became proficient in the use of multiple auto-analyzers.
In 2021, Eleanor obtained employment with Florida Gulf Coast University as a Laboratory
Technician II, where she prepares the supplies and maintains the classrooms for the
General Biology I classes.
Eleanor currently lives in Ft. Myers with her husband Robert, chihuahua Rudy, and
is expecting her first child.
