Toggle Research and Teaching InterestsMy area of expertise is public policy with a particular emphasis on environmental issues. Methodologically, I specialize in survey research and statistical analysis but also a wide variety of approaches and tools associated with public policy analysis. -
Courses Offered
Toggle Courses Offered- PAD 6353 Environmental Governance (Florida Gulf Coast University) (Graduate-level). Aims at providing a sophisticated understanding of current environmental problems, policymaking, and administrative process, as well as focusing on refining analytical skills therein.
- PAD 4351 Environmental Governance (Florida Gulf Coast University) (Upper-level undergraduate). Essentially a survey course of domestic environmental problems and the institutions that developed to address them. There is also a focus on developing analytical sophistication in regards to these issues.
- POS 3703 Intro to Political Science Research (Florida Gulf Coast University) (Upper-level undergraduate). This course offers a dense but practical, skills-based curriculum of primarily statistical techniques and applications used in political science.
- PUP 4004: Policymaking and Administration (Florida Gulf Coast University) (Upper-level undergraduate). This course addresses policymaking and administrative concepts and institutions both abstractly and in practice via several major policy arenas, such as health policy.
- PAD 6327: Program Planning and Evaluation (Florida Gulf Coast University) (Graduate-level). Focuses on the underlying rationale and methods of program planning and evaluation to prepare students for professional roles as administrators, planners, and change agents in public service organizations.
- POS 2041: American National Government (Florida Gulf Coast University) (Intro-level undergraduate). Introduction to the basic theory, structure, and practice of American national government.
- PAD 6365: Public Policy (Florida Gulf Coast University) (Graduate-level). Overview of the theory and practice of public policy. Topics include policy problem definition and tools for analysis of public policy.
