Dr. Metz is originally from Evansville, Indiana. She earned her Bachelor of the Arts degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2014. She has been recognized as a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy (ABPTS) since 2018. She also holds certifications as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (ACBIS) and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA). Prior to transitioning to FGCU as an instructor, Dr. Metz worked as a physical therapist, clinical instructor, and neurologic residency program director within an acute inpatient rehabilitation facility in Chattanooga, TN.
