Chad Evers is from Scranton, PA. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Florida State University and a M.S. in Environmental Management from The University of San Francisco. Chad is currently in the dissertation phase of his Doctor of Education at Florida Gulf Coast University. Professionally Chad Evers has managed laboratories at Florida State University, The University of San Francisco, and the University of California at Berkeley. He has also worked for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Division of Aquaculture where he was responsible for monitoring water quality in SWFL for the purposes of the safe harvest of shellfish, and regulation of the regional shellfish industry. Chad had taught in higher education for over 13 years starting out as an adjunct at Florida Southwestern State College in 2010 and joining FGCU as a full-time faculty in 2015. Chad’s focus is on Environmental Science, Environmental Education, Environmental Policy, place-based learning, experiential learning, and sustainability education.
