Tymczyszyn, Barbara (MA)
Barbara Hess Tymczyszyn joined the faculty at FGCU in 2003. She is the Clinical Coordinator of the Exercise Science program and works closely with all community sites. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Maryland College (presently McDaniel College) in 1985 and a Master of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1986. Prior to coming to FGCU, she was the Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Georgetown Hospital (Georgetown, SC), an adjunct professor at Coastal Carolina University, Director of Exercise at Structure House (Durham, NC), Director of Recreation at West Chester University (West Chester, PA), and a clinical exercise physiologist at the Pritikin Longevity Center (Downingtown, PA). Her main interests are in functional movement and behavior change.
