From his first semester at FGCU, Dr. Johnson has been involved with the Whitaker Center
for STEM Education at FGCU, which greatly influenced his incursion into STEM Education
research. After a long stint on the Leadership Team, he served as the Interim Director
from Fall 2019 - Fall 2021.
Dr. Johnson has also remained active in Mathematics research, directing senior capstone
and graduate research projects, some of which resulted in published papers.
