Prior to coming to FGCU, she was Assistant Professor of Western Medieval Art at Princeton University, taught at Columbia University and the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University, was a staff lecturer at the Cloisters Museum in New York and was Rare Books and Special Collections Librarian at Mills College (Oakland, California).
