Godsea, Anna (MS Ed.)
Anna Godsea's professional purpose is to nurture future problem-solvers. She obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Georgia Southern University. After graduating with her M.Ed., Anna began her 20-year teaching career in public education. During this time, she served on text-book adoption and school advisory committees, grade level chair positions, as field trip and science fair coordinators, as environmental education liaison, supervised clinical education internships, and more. In 2015, Anna was awarded the School District of Lee County Golden Apple Teacher of Distinction.
Anna joined the FGCU family in fall of 2017, as Education Coordinator for Wings of Hope environmental education program, housed under the College of Arts and Sciences, within the Department of Integrated Studies. In spring of 2020, Anna was appointed to Environmental Humanities Instructor I, in addition to maintaining her position with Wings of Hope. She continued to serve on the School District of Lee County School Advisory Committee.
Anna resides in Estero, FL, with her spouse of 23 years, her two children, and adopted pets. She volunteers for public sporting events, community beautification and storm clean-up opportunities, and serves as a member on Friends of the FL Panther Refuge Board.
