COVID-19 Testing Options

Student information: COVID-19 tests on campus

Sick-visit appointments are available with Student Health Services. Strep, flu and COVID-19 tests are available for symptomatic students. Call 239-590-7966 to schedule an appointment.

Employee information: COVID-19 tests

Employees who are State Group Insurance Members can use their Prescription Drug Plan to cover the costs of up to eight approved over-the-counter COVID-19 tests in a 30-day period.

Every U.S. home is eligible to order at-⁠home COVID-⁠19 tests. Tests are free, and four tests are included in each order.

If you are sick - stay home and make an appointment to see a doctor.

Students who develop flu-like symptoms can contact the FGCU Student Health Services at 239-590-7966 or email immune@fgcu.edu to make an appointment to see our healthcare professionals. If you are severely ill, you should call an urgent care, emergency department at a local hospital, or call 911 before going in person. They will direct you on the steps to take to get help without infecting others.

Faculty and staff who have questions about leave for health issues should contact Human Resources at hr@fgcu.edu or by calling 239-590-1400.

- CDC guidelines will continue to be adhered to, based on the destination of travel.
- Prior to the purchase of employee travel arrangements, a Spend Authorization must be submitted and approved in Workday.
- Travel-related employee reimbursements are processed using an Expense Report initiated in Workday.
- Provost/VP approval for all travel will continue to be required until further notice.
- Workday Job Aids can be found and reviewed on the Workday Training Resources Website.
